Purpose Over Perfection

It's often said that perfection is the enemy of progress. Reflecting on this, I've realized that my pursuit of "perfection" has held me back. I've strived to be flawless in my decisions and actions, which, while admirable, isn't realistic.

Jesus is the only perfect person to have walked this earth. While we should all strive to be like Him, He doesn't expect us to be perfect. My quest for perfection has often left me stuck, unable to move forward because things aren't exactly as I envisioned them.

I'm reminded of King David from the book of Samuel. The Bible tells us that David was a man after God's own heart. Despite his mistakes, David was a great man who belonged to the Lord, regardless of his actions or decisions.

Give yourself grace on this journey through life. You are not perfect, but you are His.
